We all want outdoor spaces that are perfect for pottering among the plants, relaxing with the newspaper or entertaining friends. It can sound a little daunting, even for a DIY expert: how to create intimate outdoor rooms that are multi-functional, creative and of course keep to a budget.
Which is where our Outdoor Room Makeovers comes to the rescue. This is a real hands-on workshop where you will be not only be inspired but learn practical skills to help you create simple but stylish improvements at home.
The workshop will be presented by award-winning South Canterbury artists Jan Chambers and Dawn Esler.Jan and Dawn have extraordinary passion for simple, elegant and practical floral art and for sharing their expertise with others.They are down to earth, quirky, and highly entertaining.
During the day, participants will learn how to:
Extend living space into the garden and create a great view from indoors
Transform a deck or patio into a stylish entertaining area or a green summer sanctuary
Freshen, recycle and rearrange existing features to give them a new lease of life
Accessorize with hidden treasures tucked away in sheds, cupboards and closets
Go Potty - choose and use containers, pots and baskets to enhance your living space.
