Step into a world where imagination blooms and creativity takes centre stage with our brand-new event, "Hats Off to Roses."

Inspired by the dazzling showcases of the World of Wearable Arts and the NZ Hat and Hair Art Awards, this competition challenges participants to craft or decorate hats with flair, innovation, and artistic expression.

Set against the backdrop of the 2024 Timaru Festival of Roses, this vibrant event will be a highlight of the festivities. Entrants will have the opportunity to display their themed creations in various categories, showcasing their talents in design, craftsmanship, and originality. The culmination of this event will be a spectacular evening soirée and catwalk-style show at the Caroline Bay Hall.
Witness an array of stunning hats, each telling its own unique story, as they are modelled on the runway.

And we’re very excited to have the incredible voice and talent of Amelia Luxton entertaining us through the night.

Join us for an unforgettable night of fashion, fun, and floral inspiration, celebrating the rich tapestry of creativity within our community. Whether you are an artist, a designer, or simply a lover of the arts, "Hats Off to Roses" promises an enchanting experience for all.
